My dear 2026 Grade 6 Learners of Assumption Kokusai!

Very soon you will be celebrating a milestone in your education journey. I had the privilege of being with you these past 6 years and am grateful to have had a glimpse of your growth.
As you move on to another phase of your education – you will meet new friends, welcome new experiences and uncover new discoveries that will carry you through your life and the destiny that awaits you. Remember the values that your Assumption Education tried to impart during your primary school days – respect and kindness towards others and the courage to pick yourself up each time you fall. Believe in the goodness that you are and make this your way of participating in building a better world.
Remember to always be grateful for all the blessings and to always acknowledge your limitations and need for help in truth. And grow in your commitment to choose what is LIFE-GIVING for yourself and others.
Congratulations on all that you have accomplished and all the best for the years ahead.
Know that God loves you and that Mother Mary will always be watching over you.
Assumption will always be a “home” for you, where you will always be welcomed.

親愛なる 2026年度 小学6年生のみなさん。
まもなく、みなさんは学びの歩みの中で、大きな節目を迎えようとしています。
この6年間、みなさんと共に歩むことができたことを、私は大きな喜びと感謝の気持ちで振り返っています。みなさんの成長の一端を見せていただけたことは、私にとって大きな恵みでした。
これから、みなさんは新しい学びの段階へと進みます。そこでは、新しい友だちと出会い、新しい経験を重ね、新しい発見をしていくことでしょう。それら一つひとつが、みなさんの人生、そして神が用意しておられるそれぞれの使命へとつながっていきます。
どうか、小学校時代にアサンプション教育が大切にしてきた価値を心に留めていてください。
それは、他者への敬意と思いやり、そして、たとえ転んでも再び立ち上がる勇気です。
自分自身の内にある「善さ」を信じ、その善さをもって、より良い世界を築くために参加していってください。
また、すべての恵みに感謝する心を忘れず、自分の限界を正直に認め、助けを必要とする存在であることを受け入れてください。
そして、自分自身のためにも、また他者のためにも、「いのちを生かすもの」を選び取ろうとする姿勢を、これからも育んでいってください。
これまで成し遂げてきたすべての歩みに、心からお祝いを申し上げます。
